Notes

  • Scientific Writing Input:
    • Framing:
      • Decide from which angle to present your thesis so the topic gets understandable for readers.
      • Topics can look messy if not framed fittingly.
      • Search for the facts most interesting for the reader (Think about: Who is the reader of your thesis?).
      • Asked attendees: What is your approach to framing for your thesis?
      • Framing mainly happens in the title and introduction, but terms are used throughout.
      • Read other papers on a similar topic and find out how those frame the problem.
  • Decisions:
    • Workflow/Methodology: Do not skip important steps. We don't want to do huge implementations which get thrown away.
    • Problem has to be clear before finding solutions.
    • Come to an agreement what to do.
    • In case of doubt, make it slower (Think more about the problem, make it more focussed, make it more specific)
  • News:
    • Meeting with Reinsaat Founder & CEO
    • Collaboration&Marketing together with Reinsaat and Permakultur Österreich
    • 3-minute short video on the website
    • Print out plant data as background material for Messe Tulln
    • Marketing Gadgets: Carabiner Cup, T-Shirt
    • T-Shirt should have big print at back, logo at all sides
    • Voting for T-Shirt color, results: white won (5 votes), black and green has 3 votes
  • Break 09:52 - 10:06
  • React & node.js Upgrade:
    • do node.js upgrade yourself (needs current dev), node.js 26
    • report bugs also from end users if you encounter them
  • Weekly Task: Definition of Done
  • Status Round
  • Implement everything release-critical before mid-August
  • As always, enter availabilities for next week
  • As always, enter time estimations
