Notes
- Scientific Writing Input:
- Framing:
- Decide from which angle to present your thesis so the topic gets understandable for readers.
- Topics can look messy if not framed fittingly.
- Search for the facts most interesting for the reader (Think about: Who is the reader of your thesis?).
- Asked attendees: What is your approach to framing for your thesis?
- Framing mainly happens in the title and introduction, but terms are used throughout.
- Read other papers on a similar topic and find out how those frame the problem.
- Framing:
- Decisions:
- Workflow/Methodology: Do not skip important steps. We don't want to do huge implementations which get thrown away.
- Problem has to be clear before finding solutions.
- Come to an agreement what to do.
- In case of doubt, make it slower (Think more about the problem, make it more focussed, make it more specific)
